How it works.
EMS-Sculpting maximises the body's natural muscle contraction pathways to rapidly strengthen and tone targeted muscle groups whilst preferentially promoting localised fat breakdown.
High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Muscle Training
Typically, it is your body that triggers your muscles into action by sending electrical impulses from the brain through to the central nervous system. However, using an EMS device allows the body to involuntarily engage in deep intense muscular contractions without actually activating the central nervous system, joints and tendons. The body cannot distinguish the difference between a voluntary contraction and an electrically induced one.
In a voluntary contraction, we are able to activate around 60% of the muscle fibres, while the supramaximal contraction provoked by EMS Sculpting stimulates 100% of the fibres, with up to 30,000 Contractions Per Session
This causes a rapid depletion of glycogen stores, a local increase in metabolism and the use of fatty acids as fuel.
The treatment generates muscle hyperplasia (increase in the number of muscle fibres) and muscle hypertrophy (increase in the volume of these fibres), thus achieving effective muscle toning and strengthening.
Comparing with traditional electrostimulation, the new HI-FEMT technology has a greater depth of action and more homogeneous stimulation of the musculature.
